The modern construction market calls for effective solutions in a broad sense. About 50 engineers and technologists working for EFLA in the field of new construction provide efficient engineering consulting in the various areas concerned, including structural engineering, plumbing installation, seeing to the premises outside of the buildings, ventilation, electrical systems, lighting design, fire prevention and acoustics.
Our specialisation consists, among other things, in our broad range and ability in non-traditional solutions. The field of structural engineering spans everything from movie sets and exhibits to the largest and most complicated structures which involve most modern structural systems. Plumbing and ventilation systems reach from the smallest changes to large and complicated sewer, sanitary, heating, ventilation, cooling and spraying systems.
Electrical systems and lighting projects cover building needs from the smallest alterations to large high-tech construction. Fire prevention and safety projects span everything from simple appraisals to design for large buildings and risk analysis of operations such as the site choice for oil storage facilities. Concerns with acoustics are broad, from measurements and consulting for air terminals, harbour areas and traffic construction to consulting based on good sound systems and/or quality acoustics in buildings.
EFLA has demonstrated initiative in adopting new methods in the construction industry and in many cases has taken the lead in developing methods and proving their worth. Additionally, EFLA’s wide-ranging experience in all-round maintenance and restoration of old buildings means that the Buildings Division offers consulting by a group of experts with broad-based knowledge and a range of interests.
